MATH
Two unit to check off the list! Transformations and Patterns and Algebra, then it'll be review, review and more review!
LANGUAGE ARTS
We are very busy practicing for the written part of the P.A.T. doing many writing prompts and mastering the editing process. After May 9th we will be doing a mini unit on Poetry and then practicing for Part B, reading comprehension.
RELIGION
We will talking about Mary and her influence in our lives and how we can pray to her for help and grace - perfect for Mother's Day! Towards the end of May we will begin our Family Life and Human Sexuality unit with a focus on how we are all made in the image of God.
SOCIAL STUDIES
We are focusing on current events for the first few weeks of May and looking at interesting news locally, nationally and internationally. We will begin to review early for the P.A.T.'s as social is very vocabulary heavy and the test takes some getting used too.
HEALTH
We are taking a close look at stress, what causes it and how we can find strategies that work for our individual stressors to calm down and bounce back!We are also going to be looking at addiction and the dangers of getting involved in addictive behaviours.
ART
Students are creating very unique Mother's Day projects!
